Ring Care

Every Christine Vasan ring is carefully handcrafted with its own unique finish & texture. How you treat your ring will impact the ring's appearance and lifespan. If you are rough on your jewelry, it is recommended that you choose a piece with a heavier texture and a lack of fine detail.

Rings should be removed prior to doing rough handiwork or while using abrasive chemicals. Activities such as rock climbing, weight lifting and working out on machines at the gym are also best done without your ring on.  

Gold:  Soak your ring in warm water mixed with 1-2 drops of mild dishwashing soap and brush with a soft, clean toothbrush. Rinse with warm water then wipe ring with a soft cloth to remove streaks. 

Silver:  Wipe your ring gently with a soft cloth and store it in a sealed plastic bag to slow the tarnishing process.  To clean your ring, dip a clean toothbrush in a solution of warm water and a few drops of mild soap, then gently scrub. After washing, rinse in water and towel dry to avoid water spots.  A silver polishing cloth will remove signs of tarnish which happen naturally with the exposure to air, and these are available in most hardware and jewelry stores. For oxidized silver, avoid excessive cleaning (including ultrasonic cleaning) and do not use a silver polishing cloth, both of which will remove its finish. 

Matte Finish: Metal wants to be shiny, so matte surfaces need to be maintained by you over time. Included with all matte finish rings will be a piece of fine sandpaper which you can use to refresh your ring from time to time. Clean your ring with a mild soap in warm water on a clean toothbrush, then swipe the sandpaper across the ring in the same direction all the way around to return the surface to a matte finish.

Repair Services

To request a ring repair, please contact us for more information. Repairs only refer to manufacturing defects, and does not cover damage due to wear-and-tear or rough handling. For repairs required due to damage caused by the customer, a repair fee will be involved.  

Ring Resizing

Some of our ring designs cannot be resized due to their unique design and/or their material, and we note this on their product pages. In the event that we received an incorrect ring size from you, we offer a ring resizing service for a fee plus the shipping cost, but only for an authentic Christine Vasan ring.
