ABOUT CHRISTINE
Obsessive about design and all things handcrafted, Christine Bamford is a designer with a background in metalwork. Christine began her career creating metalwork for display in museums such as the Museum of Natural History, the Guggenheim, and the Brooklyn Museum. This experience inspired her to begin designing and fabricating her own custom jewelry, and during this time she also began renovating multiple homes. The culmination of all of these endeavors has led to a studio practice that encompasses custom jewelry design and fabrication, design consultation for interiors, and staging for real estate.
Christine's New York studio uses a combination of old world and cutting edge techniques including forging, wax carving, lost wax casting, and 3D modeling. As a designer, her commitment to high quality craftsmanship is the guiding principle for every project, whether it be metalwork, jewelry or design consultation. Christine believes in supporting her local community of makers and suppliers, and she sources from local designers and vendors for each project.
